Question #1:
Obama: 'One has the impression that the people of Wall Street have little remorse.' Is he...?
...right?Click Here
18 Billion Dollars paid out in bonuses to directors of Wall Street firms in 1998.
Barack Obama has reached the conclusion (Monday 20th July) that those -who were the cause of the financial crisis last Autumn, which plunged the United States and much of the World into an economic crisis-
have not made sufficient amends. "As I see it, one has the impression that the people of Wall Street haven't the lease remorse for taking excessive risks."...he said during an interview with PBS.
Question #2:
Is the E.U. the same thing the Nazis "planned"?
A new proposal by France and Germany to create a federal European economic government in the name of mandating fiscal responsibility and avoiding a repeat of the turmoil in Greece chillingly mirrors similar plans put forward by top Nazis in the 1940’s as a means of preserving fascist power at the end of world war two.Is this really just another "coincidence"?
With Greek finances dragging down the euro (coincidence?), calls for coordinated fiscal policy within the common currency zone have become more frequent (coincidence?). Now, Germany and France have presented a paper outlining what such a regime might look like, (coincidence?) reports Spiegel Online, outlining the move towards a centrally planned economy (coincidence?) with Brussels exercising complete control over of the financial affairs of member states (coincidence?) in a shocking lurch towards economic fascism.
Interesting eh?
Chair of the European Commission Jean-Claude Juncker, who received the new proposal from German Finance Minister Wolfgang Schäuble and French Finance Minister Christine Lagarde, highlighted the need for a “European economic government” (what a set of coincidences) to solve the Greece debt crisis.
No doubt, all the "coincidence theorists" will say this is all just,..well,..a coincidence.

Question #3:
Armageddon, 'New Order' and 'Second Coming of Christ' believers?
What with Haiti, and now Chile hit by earthquakes, and the financial crisis effecting the world, among other things, are you convinced that now is the time?Wow, people still believe that stuff, in spite of all the countless times it has been predicted and nothing happened. People still believe that Christ is going to come down and have a big old battle with the devil at Megiddo. Never stopping to reason things out! Wow!
Question #4:
Do you think the USA is imploding & the biggest sucker of all to take on the Middle East?
A bit of a rant - but with a point-So many European countries had far more interests than we did, especially China. The USA has taken the brunt of the criticism, and we're taking it from all sides, when there were others in there before us with stronger connections & ties. I think many other world leaders are laughing at the suckers the USA has become. We're taking care of the dirty work, only private corporations are seeing the profits from this war, while other governments can spend their time & resources on taking care of their own and moving their economies forward.
Our own "free press" is anything but "free", we're all owned by corporations down the the deodorant we use and the news we are allowed to hear - sounds like the old USSR doesn't it?. You all probably get more real news & accurate info regarding us than we do at this point! At least you know when you're probably missing something.
This Digital TV transition our fine politicians snuck through 12 years ago, is the biggest farce - now we have to pay for TV reception, pay per channel if we want it, and pay again watching the hundreds of commercials. That's if you can get reception or choose to pay. No alternatives, analog TV is gone. They offer cheap cable for 6 months, then they double the price once they've got you. They are trying to do the same with radio. So what happens to communication during the next crisis? Now to receive communication, we need to use even more electricity to run communications, so I guess the poor will be left out of any emergency plans should another disaster hit.
The greed has been allowed to grow unchecked for so long that we don't even own our own banks nor financial system anymore! The Pacific Rim and Europe hold our mortgages and own our homes.
I worked hard saving to travel the world when I was younger while others spent their money on partying, etc. - saw many "educated" Americans during my journeys, but it seems that the country that has some of the most educational opportunities, least restrictive and cheap to travel, has this great "free press", yet we seem to be some of the most ignorant people on Earth!
Of course these are "stereotypes" yet they seem to be more true than not these days.
I'm looking for some outside perspectives. Willing to listen to your rant also!
peace.
Question #5:
how has the IMF responded to the world financial crisis 2007-2008?
i'm trying to gather up the role of the IMF in the WFC but just seem to find very long discussions rather than bullet points which would help more. i am writing an assignment paper for my int. monetary economics class..Question #6:
Dr. Marc Faber, the guy who predicted the 1987 crash, advices to get land, gold and guns. Is he correct?
According to him, total collapse looms in the horizon:Click Here
The world’s most powerful investors have been advised to buy farmland, stock up on gold and prepare for a “dirty war” by Marc Faber, the notoriously bearish market pundit, who predicted the 1987 stock market crash.
The bleak warning of social and financial meltdown, delivered today in Tokyo at a gathering of 700 pension and sovereign wealth fund managers.
Dr Faber, who advised his audience to pull out of American stocks one week before the 1987 crash and was among a handful who predicted the more recent financial crisis, vies with the Nouriel Roubini, the economist, as a rival claimant for the nickname Dr Doom.
Speaking today, Dr Faber said that investors, who control billions of dollars of assets, should start considering the effects of more disruptive events than mere market volatility.
“The next war will be a dirty war,” he told fund managers: "What are you going to do when your mobile phone gets shut down or the internet stops working or the city water supplies get poisoned?”
The only way to survive will be by growing your own food, saving your previous wealth in gold (in hopes some day a new civilization arises and your grandchildren can use that gold as currency), and stocking up on guns and ammo, because we all will be fighting to the death for the few leftover resources.
In short, the Mad Max scenario. Is he correct yet again?
Question #7:
is the financial crisis real or is it a scheme ?
are the crooks running the world ? i saw this 2 hour video on how the united states government is controlling the economies of the world and the money supply , i would have posted this link but don't know how , but after watching this video , it confirmed what i had already suspected , these crooks are running the world economies into the direction they want , it's enginered to take away control from small economies to the bigger and more powerful .and from i can see the poorer countries are blocked from progressing and improving there living standard .
it's true what they say , that the rich get richer and the poor get poorer , it's not a myth .
if you go on you tube and listen to george carlin , he has some real eye opener comments on what is really going on .
john lennon of the beatles said that the people have the power , all they have to do is take it .
it's amazing to me how many people say that they have no power when in fact they have .

Question #9:
Anyone remember the time that Barrack Obama suspended his presidental campaign...?
to address the banking crisis? Well Senator John McCain does, but no one else seems to.""[Bush] didn't ask me to suspend my campaign," said McCain. "I suspended my campaign -- as did Senator Obama -- to come back to Washington because the President had told me that we were in a world financial collapse.""
"But unlike McCain, Obama never announced he was suspending his campaign. Quite the opposite, in fact: After McCain's announcement, Obama said he still planned to show up for the presidential debate that Friday, arguing that a president needed to be able to do two things at once. "

Question #10:
Are we kidding ourselves about wind power?
Are you sitting around thinking wind power is part of our future? Maybe it's time to think again. GE, Siemens, Vestas et. al. have raped European taxpayers and are doing the same in the United States. You just don't hear about it."The voices of Kamaoa cry out their warning as a new batch of colonists, having looted the taxpayers of Spain, Portugal, and Greece, seeks to expand upon their multi-billion-dollar foothold half a world away on the shores of the distant Potomac River. European wind developers are fleeing the EU's expiring wind subsidies, shuttering factories, laying off workers, and leaving billions of Euros of sovereign debt and a continent-wide financial crisis in their wake. But their game is not over. Already they are tapping a new vein of lucre from the taxpayers and ratepayers of the United States."

Are wind farms financially sustainable on their own?
Should wind be permitted on the grid in places where winds are not strong or sustainable enough to support it? Can wind support the voltage level required for the grid to be stable? What happens when wind speeds are low, causing farms to act like capacitors and exposing the transmission system to failures? Is it even a viable base load source - and what quick response generators must be used when the wind dies down?
Before you get upset about this being some sort of ideological rant, please note that I have invested my own time, energy and some money into wind power, and attended Windpower 2009 in Chicago last year.

About a year ago, I stopped reading the newspaper as all the topics seemed repeticious to me. Hurricane whatever here, Financial crisis there, Health Care issues, X Star does whatever bad thing, Stats on various wars. Some believe that if you are not abreast of what's going on in the world, you're somewhat behind but to me it just seems like reading the paper((The Times(UK), New York Times) offers know mental nutrition whatsoever. Is this view completely off?I actually DO hope so but I don't think so.
Question #12:
Is Gordon Brown (British PM) still pushing for a "Global New Deal" with President Obama and other leaders?
I mean all the world's central bankers didn't meet at G20 for nothing, right??So how far along is this plan??
The world needs a "global New Deal" to haul it out of the economic crisis it faces, Prime Minister Gordon Brown of the United Kingdom said Sunday.
"We need a global New Deal -- a grand bargain between the countries and continents of this world -- so that the world economy can not only recover but... so the banking system can be based on... best principles," he said, referring to the 1930s American plan to fight the Great Depression.
Brown was speaking as the leaders of Europe's biggest economies met to try to forge a common position on the global financial crisis ahead of a major summit in London in April.
French President Nicolas Sarkozy said the world's response to the global financial meltdown had to be profound and long-lasting, not just tinkering around the edges.
"Europe wants to see an overhaul of the system. We all agree on that. We're not talking about superficial measures now or transitional measures -- we're talking about structural measure, which need to be taken," he said.
Also, Anybody NOT convinced that world government is very REAL goal of certain politicians??
i drink................Are we going to separate commercial from investment banking first?? Or are we content to let the bankers rape us on a global scale too??
Question #13:
Would you find this show interesting?
ok so im only 16 but i kinda want your opinion on this show i have been thinking aboutok so basically the show is a criminal investigation but it deal with people with some mental problems
they could be hallucinating [which is gona be pretty major cause in the show there's going to be mentions of a drug called white claudia]
they could have had terrible memories from the past
religiously delusional
or they are just plain psychotic
about 5 characters are going to be shown [first]
but the things is all the characters somehow hav something in common [ill get into that in a bit]
One of the characters is Karen a female lawyer [blonde about 28] in the story she has no info about her biological mother [raised by foster parents] her father is mentally ill. she is very "liberal" though she keeps to herself about her life especially childhood
next is Josh, a bar tender [supposedly 29-30 black hair ] sorta goin through financial crisis. sarcastic and kind of a goof ball. he always wished to be a cop yet the family didnt exactly hav that much money ready for him.
Alex, a scenes of crime officer [SOCO] who works under his "father-figure" of a boss Richard. he is quiet, keeps his cool but tends to have things go his way. his parents were supposedly dead yet cause of death was unknown. [ i would probably make him 26 years old, light brown hair]
Serene, a chemisist [23 dark brown hair] though still a beginner. she is seen as curious a bit uncomfortable at times but has a sweet heart.
she is an orphan but she lived a good life as an adopted child.
basically in the first episode everyone goes their seperate ways. the episode first starts off with Alex investigating yet another crime scene with a dead body that has same symbol somewhere on the body thats has occured many times now. some now call it the mark of Thanatos [ demon of death]. meanwhile we find Karen in a court room accusing a teacher who is believed to have drugged and molested one of his students. though she won the case she wished it hadnt happened. she comes home takes a bath and looks back at all the sick twisted cases she had solved and has seen how corrupt the world can be. Josh is found on the ground in a bar....his own bar. his friend/partner starts arguing with him about his drinking problem. As Josh leaves the bar, his partner tells him to give up. Josh mutters under his breath "...why dontu just drop dead". Serene is in her university chatting with her friends about how they are just a few months away form graduaing when finally her professor comes in. they start discussing about hte new drug called white claudia and how so many criminal investigations have been related to the usage of this new drug.
near the end of the story all 4 characters are kidnapped.
for example
first is Alex who comes back to the crime scene when suddenly someone starts laughing hysterically in the background and finally Alex gets knocked out when hit in the head by a dark figure. Karen changes after her shower. once she leaves the room she relizes the apartment door is opened with the mark of Thanatos on the ground when suddently she gets hit in the head with a pipe.
during the show there will be references about a certain women named Elizabeth. unfortunately her identity is somewhat unknown as her face is almost "covered up in the picture". she may be the reason all the character are all together
do u think it would make a good show?
what would u name it?
P.S. dont name it thanatos cause im planning in making that part of the story for only 1 season [ even though i didnt even start one episode XD]

Question #16:
Wouldn't this solve all of America's financial problems?
It is obvious that job loss over the last couple decades has eroded American purchasing power. It all started with Corporations lobbying a Republican congress for NAFTA legislation and Clinton signing it into law. The next step was corporate lobbying for the Chinese trade agreement. Both of these issues are capitalist philosophies. The corporate argument was that these were jobs Americans didn't want and also that it would save us lots of money. It might have even initially started like that for the first few years. But the underlying motivation for corporations was to move everything they could to overseas manufacturing for wider corporate profits for shareholders and corporate employees. The U.S. and Europe cannot compete with third world wages, lack of benefits, and absolutely no environmental rules or guidelines. The only solution to our economic crisis is a return of jobs with viable wages and benefits. Middle class is what makes America's economy work and that includes health care. We also need educated youth to put into these positions.Question #17:
How is the Financial Crisis in North America related to the Global Economy?
I'm curious...Why / How has the financial crisis in the U.S become a GLOBAL crisis?
How has something that started on Wall street grown to affect the whole WORLD?
Question #18:
Have you seen this by Ron Paul, "Are US Taxpayers bailing out Greece?"?
What do you think?"
Last week we were reminded that ours is not the only country suffering from severe economic turmoil. The Greek government is the latest to come close to default on their massive public debt. Greece has insufficient funds in their treasury to make even the minimum payments that are now coming due. Their debt level is about 120 percent of their gross domestic product and their public sector absorbs what amounts to 40 percent of GDP. Any talk of cutting costs and spending is met with violent protests from the many Greeks heavily dependent on government payments. Mounting fears of default have sent shockwaves through their creditors and all of the eurozone countries.
But there have been statements made by the European Central Bank to calm fears and give assurances that Greece will get the aid it needs. Details of agreements are not forthcoming.
Is it possible that our Federal Reserve has had some hand in bailing out Greece? The fact is, we don’t know, and current laws exempt agreements between the Fed and foreign central banks from disclosure or audit.
Greece is only the latest in a series of countries that have faced this type of crisis in recent memory. Not too long ago the same types of fears were mounting about Dubai, and before that, Iceland. Several other countries (Spain, Portugal, Ireland, Latvia) are approaching crisis levels with public debt as well. Many have strong ties to Goldman Sachs and the case could easily be made that default could have serious implications for big US banking cartels. Considering the ties between the Fed and these big banks, it is not outlandish to wonder if the US taxpayer is secretly bailing out the entire world, country by country, even as our real unemployment tops 20 percent. Unless laws are changed to allow a complete and meaningful audit of the Federal Reserve, including its agreements with foreign central banks, we might never know if this is occurring or not.
This global financial crisis is a predictable result of secretive central banking and unsound fiat currency. Governments are entirely committed to this system of fiat money and fractional reserve banking for obvious reasons: it enables them to do what they love most, namely, spend hoards of money with near impunity. Without the limitations of sound money, governments will spend without limit. They will spend money to hire their cronies, pay off special interests, give out favors, create dependence and generally distract from the terrible job they do at their chief mandate, which is to protect the liberties of the people. Fiat money is a blank check to government, which is very dangerous, and we are witnessing the death throes of the system as the bills come due and the underlying capital is squandered away.
Because of our globe-straddling empire and lingering reserve currency status, perhaps no one has a more vested interest in keeping this system cobbled together than our own government and the Federal Reserve. The agreements that Iceland and Dubai and Greece have negotiated can amount to little more than kicking the can down the road, as their overall spending habits remain largely intact, fiat currencies are still legal tender and more debt is issued on top of unsustainable debt. The American people have the right to know if they are going to be the ones holding the bag in the end because the Federal Reserve secretly put them on the hook for it. This knowledge would be a key factor in peacefully dismantling this immoral and unconstitutional system. "
Despite games to try to replace Ron Paul's audit of the Fed Bill with a weaker provision, he got it into the banking reg package that passed the House. (He voted against the ultimate bill, however, which had many other putrid provisions such as institutionalizing FUTURE bailouts.)
However, Dodd and Gregg have insisted the audit provision will NOT pass the Senate.
Do you think we need an audit of the Federal Reserve?
Sophie did you follow where the AIG bailout money went? Including to foreign banks? Without an audit of the FEd, a REAL one, we won't know.

Ask around and you'll hear this over and over again: People are concerned about what might be coming.
